The 2014 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships was a figure skating championship in the 2013–14 season open to skaters from all inhabitable continents and regions except Europe and sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters from Europe competed at the 2014 European Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Organized by the Chinese Taipei Skating Union and Taipei Sports Office, the 2014 Four Continents was held from January 20 to 26, 2014 at the Taipei Arena, a multipurpose arena seating up to 15,000 spectators, in Taipei, Chinese Taipei. ==Overview== The 2014 competition featured a total of 94 athletes from 15 nations from North America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. There were 29 competitors in the men's event and 21 competitors in the ladies' event. There will also be seven pair teams and fifteen ice dancing teams. None of the 2013 champions competed, electing to prepare for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Only one medalist from 2013 competed — Kanako Murakami of Japan, who won bronze in ladies' singles. Han Yan of China, who won the 2013 bronze in men's singles, was originally on the roster but was replaced.
